Work History
Dr Kok Lam Chow (known as KL Chow) graduated from the University of Auckland in 2001 and completed his cardiology training in Auckland and gained his FRACP in 2013. Following this, he further developed his skills in Interventional Cardiology at North Shore Hospital. Upon completing his interventional cardiology training, he started working in public hospitals in New Zealand (Dunedin, Christchurch, and Tauranga from 2016 until 2022) before returning to Auckland. He has been an interventional cardiologist since 2014.
KL has worked as a cardiologist in Middlemore Hospital since June 2022 and participates in the after-hours urgent coronary intervention at Auckland City Hospital.
Other interests include valvular heart disease, cardiac risk stratification and general cardiology.
