Work History

Stefan Brew attended Auckland Medical School before training in Radiology and Interventional Radiology at Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He subsequently trained in Interventional Neuroradiology at Queen Square and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London.  He was appointed lead Interventional Neuroradiologist across both sites in 2003, and engaged in research, teaching, and interventional device development across Europe over the following decade.

In 2013 Dr Brew returned to Auckland to become a diagnostic and interventional neuroradiologist at Auckland City Hospital. He has recently been appointed the National Clinical Director for Stroke/Clot Retrieval alongside Professor Anna Ranta. Stefan Brew joined Mercy Radiology and Intra in 2021
