Informed consent

As a patient, whatever procedure you are to undergo you have the right to make an informed choice and give informed consent. This is required before your procedure takes place. 

In some cases e.g. if you are taking part in any research or if you are to go under general anaesthetic, an additional consent form will require your signature before the procedure takes place.

Before giving your consent the specialist will fully and clearly explain to you the procedure, discuss possible risks and answer any questions you may have

The Health and Disability Commissioner provides more information on the protection you have, as a consumer, when using any health and disability service in New Zealand.

 

We value your feedback

Following your Intra procedure you will recieve an invitation via email to complete our online survey, developed by Cemplicity. This survey is voluntary and if you choose to participate, your response will remain anonymous, and privacy protected.
